Question 1 is about the following article in a school newspaper.

This semester, something very special is happening at Asheville Middle School. Four exchange students from around the country will be studying here. The students are studying here with a program that helps students explore different schools and regions. Students from our school Janessa Flockhart, Dolly Stamps, Brian Bens, and Francis Reed are spending their semester at other schools in different parts of the country.

The new exchange students are Janelle Brown, Libby Simpson, Nick LoVasco, and Taylor Hernandez. They come from Georgia, South Dakota, New York, and Arizona. Our new exchange students have met many friendly students and have been welcomed by all the teachers. "I'm so excited to be here in Asheville," said Nick Lo Vasco, an eighth-grader "There's so much nature here." Nick told us that there isn't much nature in his hometown, so it's great to be spending time in the forest.

The teachers are excited about the opportunity to have the exchange students here. In their homeroom classes, the students will be giving short presentations about the places they come from. We can learn so much from them. They are staying with host families who live in Asheville County. If you see Janelle, Libby, Nick; or Taylor, say hello. Make them feel at home in Asheville. It won't be long before they go!
