Questions 1-3 are about the following passage.

Penguins are black and white birds that live about half the time on land and half the time in the water. Penguins are very popular in movies and on television and can be seen in movies such as The Adventure of Scamper the Penguin, Happy Feet, and March of the Penguins. However, many people do not know certain basic facts about these interesting birds.

Often it is thought that, because penguins usually live in the cold, they must live in the Far North. Instead, the opposite is true. All penguins are native to the southern hemisphere. Some, like the Galapagos penguins, even live in a fairly warm part of the world. Because penguins do not live in places such as the North Pole, they would never be around animals like polar bears and walruses.

Another little-known fact is that, very rarely, a brown penguin is born. Brown penguins are called Isabelline penguins. Sadly, Isabelline penguins often do not live as long as black and white penguins. This is because they can be seen easier by large sea animals such as the fur seals that eat penguins. Within their family groups, brown penguins are sometimes not treated as well as normal blank and white colored penguins.
