Many people believe that alligators and crocodiles are the same animals with two different names, but this isn't true. These two animals (1)... as one. In this essay, I (2).... people about the differences between these two large reptiles. Hopefully, after reading this essay, readers (3).... their opinions on these creatures! First, people (4).... to recognize the different shapes of their snouts. The crocodile has a narrow V-shaped snout, while the alligator has a wider V-shaped snout. Because of their more powerful snout, it makes sense that alligators can eat hard-bodied animals such as turtles. In contrast, crocodiles (5).... mammals and small fish with their narrow snout. Second, their body colors (6).... different, too. Alligators are brownish-black, white crocodiles are olive green. However, it's sad that millions of alligators (7)... for theri skins. Third, they like to live in different kinds of water, the alligator prefers fresh water, while the crocodile likes a bit of salt. For these reasons, crocodiles and alligators are not the same.
